Dancefloor denizens, The Rinse has arrived with another salvo of new drum & bass. For this episode, we hand over the keys to the mighty group Drumsound & Bassline Smith–names that have resonated in D&B circles around the globe for over a decade. The group gives us five of their favorite tracks at the moment and unloads an exclusive mix that is certain to elevate blood pressure.
Drumsound & Bassline Smith have crafted countless hits over the last 15-plus years, including anthems like Through the Night, Close, and the timeless classic, The Odyssey. They’ve traversed every subgenre of D&B since hitting the scene in the late ’90s, supplying everything from jump-up flavor with tracks like Skumbag, to intelligent, soulful vibes with tunes like Feel the Sunset. The trio have even veered into 140 bpm territory with certified banger R U Ready.
The group recently celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of their historic label Technique Recordings with a massive compilation album back in February titled 15 Years of Technique. The album featured tracks from their stellar roster of artists including Tantrum Desire, L Plus, and Erb n Dub, to name a few. Fortunately, another anniversary album is in the pipeline just in time for the hot months called 15 Years of Technique Summer Selection. The first preview of the LP comes in the form of two brand new dancefloor heaters from the trio themselves called Memories and Primitive. If this preview is any indication of what’s to come on the Summer Selection album, Technique is poised to have an epic summer.
